Hyson Green
Lost in the World was the debut album by Hyson Green. The album was several years in the thinking and a year in the making. The follow up - The Needle And The Groove - was greeted by much enthusiasm and radio play. Following that was Keep On Dreaming.
Now we've just released TONGUE TIED. An instrumental Jazz/blues/funk album. And Now we have Electric Soul Sessions. Their most polished album yet.

Growing up in the East Midlands of England we were able to take in The Brum Beat (especially Traffic), The Leicester Beat (hello Family) and because we were in situ - The Trent Beat. We were too young to have enjoyed the Dungeon Club in Nottingham - where everyone from Little Stevie Wonder to the Who played - but we injected that feeling and soul and it led us here to Hyson Green.
Think of the Hyson Green sound as an amalgam of Nottingham, London and Los Angeles - Palm trees in Market Square, beaches along the Trent and Thames, and rain (it does happen) in LA.

Hyson Green combine the experience, writing and musicianship of two brothers, David and Roy Osborne and incorporate influences of the blue eyed English and American soul these two love. From Boz Scaggs to Jess Roden, from Delaney and Bonnie to Robert Palmer, from Hall and Oates to Frankie Miller, from Steely Dan to Chic and Chicago house and Horace Silver, and so many more. Their music harks back to a time when songs and music were shaped by experience and the love of good music.

Listen to their self-penned tracks and remember when horns, high school bands and harmonies were where it was at. Hyson Green are steeped in the music we know we all love but just don’t hear any more on the radio.

These albums are the culmination of a vision shared by David and Roy Osborne. Hyson Green give you contemporary sounds that will stand the test of time and are available for your pure listening pleasure
